The Vendée Arctique Speed Runs

The Vendée Arctique race, the first qualifying race for the Vendée Globe 2024, starts on 12th June. During the last week, Pip and the team have been in Les Sables-d’Olonne in preparation for the solo sailing race, which covers 3,5000 miles across a challenging course that includes rounding the Arctic Circle.

It’s been a busy week so far with the speed runs taking place last weekend. Set over a 1.21 mile course, the speed runs are a chance for spectators and supporters to see the boats up close and for the skippers to compete against each other inshore.
