Who We Are

We are a unique sailing campaign with sustainability woven into our programme at every level. We are passionate about working with our sponsors, partners and supporters to promote sustainability and raise awareness to make a truly global impact.

Our aim:

As a team we’re becoming increasingly aware of the impact our offshore and onshore activities have on the environment. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact by integrating sustainable measures into all of our activities.

Travel footprint

To better understand our impact we will measure and monitor our carbon emissions.
We will conduct online meetings to reduce travel.
We walk, cycle and car share where practical.
We will sail to and from all racing events.
Packaging & plastics

We will not use single use plastics such as plastic bottles & coffee cups.
We will replace single-use packaging with reusable or biodegradable solutions where practical.
Reduce & reuse

We will reuse and recycle boat parts to consider environmental consequences of the lifecycle of the products used.
We will work with suppliers who are commited to reducing their carbon footprint (eg. Marlow Ropes, Eco Work Marine, Blue Ocean Products)
Brands we work with

We work with brands who are committed to being more sustainable eg. Sungod, Helly Hansen, Circular&Co.
Sustainability pledge

We will:
Continually review our activities to reduce our environmental impact.
Embed the seven themes set out in the IMOCA Team Charter into our daily activities and comply with relevant legislation.
Use our voice to promote responsibility for the environment throughout our campaign.
