Gone with the wind
Mid-morning, I was rudely awakened from a snooze by the pilot crash gybing the boat which is never a good way to wake up. Once I'd clambered on deck and got us back on our feet again, checking for damage I engaged the pilot again only for it to dive off towards another gybe.

16th place and in the top half of the fleet
t's been going well and when I logged onto check the positions at 4am this morning I have gone up to 16th place. I did do a little air punch and on the spot dance.

Big Bertha is back
Today I rolled up my sleeves and my big spinnaker 'Big Bertha' came out on deck and is currently dragging me downwind in good form.

Another landmark day
The landmark days are coming thick and fast at the moment and today I crossed the Anti meridian for the second time only in my sailing career.

My competitive devil
I am wondering still if I am pushing too hard. It's a question that bugs me day and night. I am a competitive person I know that; but this extra effort to stretch, to learn, to challenge the status quo of what is possible

I am on my way home
I have officially passed half way! Based on the rhum line course around the world, in the early hours of this morning I reached the half way mark. People! I am coming home.
